Moscow Kremlin New Park

The Kremlin is one of the most popular request for my private tours in Moscow. I visit it almost every weekend with my guests. During the Victory Day on the 9th of May the Kremlin was closed. But it is opened today with some awesome news!

Today was opened the new park in the heart of Russia and Moscow – in the Kremlin. It was opened in the place where used to be The Kremlin Presidium, also known as Building 14. The scientists said that the building that was built in 1934 had no historical value and it was decided to demolished it in late 2015.

The building was built instead of destroyed Voznesenky (Ascension)  Convent (XIV century), Chudov Monastery (XIV century) and Lesser Nicholas Palace (XVIII century). Before the building was destroyed you couldn’t see the cathedrals of Moscow Kremlin from that place. Now it is possible not only to see the beautiful panoramic view of Ivanovskaya Square, The Cathedral Square and The Bell-Fry of Ivan The Great but also use the Savior’s Tower Gates as the exit from the Kremlin.

While the private tour in the Kremlin we can now pass the Tsar-Bell and Tsar-Cannon and cross the Ivanovskaya Square to spend some time in this park that is right in front of the Secret Gardens of Moscow Kremlin.

The Soviet government destroyed along with the monastery and convent the Lesser Nikolayevsky Palace that used to be the official residence of Russian Royal family in Moscow. But the basement of this palace survived and now it is outlined with the bushes in the park.

The scientists and the Russian government is still thinking about partial reconstruction of monastery, convent and palace. But we need to remember that the territory of the Kremlin is in the UNESCO list so every reconstruction and works should be allowed by UNESCO.

Under the park there is still the archaeological excavations. Among the findings a lot of everyday-life stuff from XII century and from Byzantium Empire.

The exit from the Savior’s Tower Gates is now reopened for the tourists and guests of the Moscow Kremlin. The main entrance is from Kutafya Tower and Trinity Tower and the main exit right to the Red Square is through the Savior’s Tower Gates.

I am happy to invite my guests to visit this new park in the Moscow Kremlin while one of my private guided tour in Moscow so it will be unique experience for you! Just ask me about this
