The Kremlin is one of the most popular request for my private tours in Moscow. I visit it almost every weekend with my guests. During the Victory Day on the 9th of May the Kremlin was closed. But it is opened today with some awesome news!

Today was opened the new park in the heart of Russia and Moscow - in the Kremlin. It was opened in the place where used to be The Kremlin Presidium, also known as Building 14. The scientists said that the building that was built in 1934 had no historical value and it was decided to demolished it in late 2015.

The Cathedral Square of Moscow Kremlin: The Assumption Cathedral

Moscow Kremlin: The Assumption Cathedral BACK The building of the main cathedral church - the center of Russian Orthodoxy - was entrusted to the well-known Italian architect and engineer Aristotele Fioravanti on the Cathedral Square of Moscow Kremlin. It was erected on the site of the by then very dilapidated first stone Assumption Cathedral (1326-1327) and completed in 1479. "As if hewn from a single block" was how the chronicler describes his impression of the building, which is indeed remarkably harmonious and majestic.

Izmailovo Flea Market

BACK Have you heard about Izmailovo Flea Market or the Kremlin in Izmailovo? That is the great place for anyone who would like to buy sovienirs for their friends or some other stuff that will be a good memory about your visit of Moscow, Russia. Although the Kremlin itself was built only several years ago it is very popular place not only among the tourists but also among Moscovites themselves. There you can visit the huge Flea Market in the Kremlin of Izmailovo where you can buy anything from matreshka dolls to even the bear skin rugs! It is set in very Russian traditional style with wooden stalls and peddlers shouting about their wares. Could be very funny experience. If you like to drink vodka then why do not visit Museum of Russian Vodka and try different tastes of it there? It is not a problem at all.
